Here are some pics of us in September...Apryl is growing so big now..almost 17 months. She walks, runs, says some cute words. New in our lives is...... that we are looking to buy a home...yeah we decided that was the right time to do it... we have been looking around...but its so hard to decide which home is the best for us...hopefully we will buy one by the end of this year.

We went to the toy store and it was funny because Apryl just wanted to get her ball ...so yeah Forrest bought the soccer ball for her.

We also went camping a lot...the place we liked the most was Pine Valley Mountain...it was nice up there even though it rained on us for a little while....we had a great time camping and fishing.

I know there is no excuse to not blog....but really we were super busy this summer so here I am now updating our blog with new pics....Apryl is 15 months now , she is growing so fast...she is now walking and saying cute small words like shusss (shoes) and more....we are all doing really great...we had so much fun this past summer ...we went camping, boating, and traveled to Seattle, WA for our anniversary so stay tuned for more cute pics.....

Apryl turned 1 on May 30th, so we had a huge birthday party( see pics). My B-day on Apryl 17th

For my Birthday...the three of us went to Kanab, UT. We went to the Dog town place and had a really good time. Apryl loves animals so she had a blast there... she also got sick with a cold.. poor her....her nose was really runny and she was fussy. The Dog town is a really cool place to visit, they do free tours and you can also participate and be a volunteer. We had fun!!!

Yeah!! dogs were not the only animals in the farm..

They have special made homes for cats too...there were a ton of cats.

Swimming Lessons

Yeah, Forrest and I took Apryl to her first parent/tot swimming lesson on Monday. It's been so much fun to do bubbles in the water and sing along while her head goes under the water. Apryl loves to be in the water, she gets so excited when we are getting ready every morning. The lessons last for two weeks, so we will enjoy it while it lasts...

Apryl is in the process of graduating from her cradle to her crib. She is starting to take naps during the afternoon, but still working on sleeping in the crib at night.

We had the best time of our lives. Apryl's first Christmas!!!

Apryl got: clothes ( dresses, coats, shoes),

toys ( a new pony, a turtle, a new piano)
and much, much more. She got spoiled.

For Daddy we got him a new radio for the car which can play usbs, a

new computer game ( Grand Theft Auto),

some house shoes and clothes.

We got for my brother Rey the sword and the shield

of King Leonidas; from the movie 300.

For Andrea we got her a new purse, some perfume and

movie tickets.

My Dad got a pair of pants and a sweater. The vest was

sent from my sister Paola from Bolivia.

My Mom also got a bunch clothes. We got her some books

from her favorite writer ( Gabriel Garcia Marquez)

Even Sasha got some presents, a duck toy,
doggy treats, she was really excited.

And.... I got a lot of new clothes, jewerly and a flat iron for my hair.

Last week, on Wed the 22th I had to go to Orem for training for my job, so Apryl and I went up north to visit my parents who happen to live right across from the training place. We had a really nice time.

Here they are cooking a Bolivian dish for us.

Apryl was really tired after the drive, so before dinner
she slept for a little while.

Grandpa Ely was holding her while we were eating..... Now you can see
that Apryl is graving everything that gets close to her.

On monday was a little cold so Apryl was trying on her new winter outfits which my aunts who lived in Bolivia knitted for her.

We went to the Mall with our friend Rosy to have Apryl's ear pierced. It was hard to see her cry, but she was really strong and now she looks really cute with earings on.

We were just having fun trying new outfits, Apryl was smiling the whole time. I also tryed different hair styles, her hair is so soft which makes it so hard to hold it with hairclips. She is a cutie.

On Saturday, we went to the Womens Conference with Aunt Sarah and Grandma Colleen. I took just a few pictures while we waited in line for our food. Apryl was the star of the day, everyone wanted to hold her and show her off. There was a cute grandma who offered to hold Apryl while we ate our food. She had a lot of fun being held by a bunch of new grandmas.

Apryl was so tired after a long day in the Grand Canyon. We didn't bring her cradle so she slept in her own full size bed. It was a little cold that night, so it was a good thing I brought extra blankets.

Apryl's Birth

On May 30th, 2008 after 4 days of Apryl's due date we went to the Hospital in St. George just to have an ultrasound done. We came to find out that my fluid levels were really low, so they told us that we had to stay and that Apryl was going to be born on this date. I was going to get induced. We were excited and scared at the same time, because we were not ready, everything was at home and, you know, everything was so new to us. After the checkup we went to a new room and started to get ready, I changed into my robe and they got me hoocked up to all the new monitors. I was not sure if I was going to get an epidiral, but after the first half hour of contractions Forrest requested it for me. :-)

I was only dilated 5 cm around 8 pm, so the nurses thought that Apryl was going to be born the next day on the 31rst, but the contractions got stronger and by 1 am I was already close to 10 cm. Apryl was born at 2:11 am, she was 8 lbs. 5oz and 20 inches long. At first she got fluids in her lungs, we were scared because she didn't cry as hard as we were expecting, everything was so fast that the respiratory team came right away after she was born and they started to suck the fluids out of her lungs.

This is in the ultrasound room, they were checking the fluid levels.

Here I am all ready for the birth. I was calling my parents to let them know about the news

Forrest went with Apryl to the ICU, and he said that she didn't let the nurse plug the tubes in her nose, she was wrestling with the nurse.

Today was Apryl's due date, so while we waited for her to come out ...we went out to have a nice breakfast at Village Inn. Our families got together for this ocassion.

After the breakfast my parents and my sisters left to go home. They live in Orem, UT
